Henry Repeating Arms, RAVE

A while back I contacted the other "ONLY" American Made Rifle Company left, Henry, about a stock for my "Big Boy" 44, the original has a nasty scratch in it from a run-in with a full AR15 magazine. A nice lady answered the phone after a couple of rings, took my information, and said the parts department will get back to me soon. Couple hrs later that's just what happened. Explained the situation to the man, and he said he would put one in the mail. No Cost. No "Press 1 for English". Well, it had been a couple of months, didn't want to bug them, in the mean time the worlds smartest UPS driver was working on tracking a lost package, a backing plate for the lathe, said he left inside the gate. I don't have a gate. Vacant house next door has a 8' fence, chained up gate. Got the boat hook out and fished out the supposed backing plate, seemed a little light for a hunk of iorn, lo and behold, it was the stock from Henry. Been sitting there since early May, about a week after I talked to them. Fortune would have it the worlds smartest UPS driver had put it in a plastic bag, so its month in the rain didn't seem to hurt. He was pretty proud of himself for finding a package that wasn't reported lost, even though the package he was sent to find was nowhere to be found.
