Callahan

I was reading Boge Quinn's article on antiquing his Uberti, which got me curious enough to follow the link to Uberti's site. Noticed that they are listing the "Callahan" 44 magnum. I recall that Ubertis previous attempts into Ruger territory met with mixed results. Their short lived 454 was, to my knowledge, never distributed in this country. I recall speculation was that the gun would come apart with mad dog American shooters. I also recall that their previous 44 mag gun was saddled with the reputation for pierced primers and loose tolerances. Anyone here have any info on this "Callahan" model?
