Deer Poles!

In the U.P. there's a kind of tradition during Deer Season that all the camps display the deer taken so all the visitors can drool over them and imbibe of some beverage while they listen to tales of the hunt. While I don't get to hunt any more I still enjoy seeing the deer. The first pic is a close up of the last two deer in the big picture and it is a twelve or thirteen point (Eastern Count) buck, a very nice deer anywhere. Also, two of the deer were taken by the fairer sex so I am happy that we are promoting our sport as a family activity rather than just a male oriented sport. Hope you like the pics. Chris

Always get a kick

out of seeing der hung heads up, head and hide on. Exactly opposite of here in the NW

Goes way back

I think it goes back to the days when the lucky hunter strapped his buck on the front fender of the Tin Liz and drove home showing of his trophy to all the other motorists. They are a bummer to skin, though, because they usually a frozen pretty good by the time they get cut up. Chris
