Just got one of my USFA's back from Joe Perkins at Outlaw Grips. It's a one piece ebony with fine gold lines through it. I had id done in the competition style that has no flare at the bottom. Fine work and a friendly guy.

Nice looking.

I think they make for a handsome sixgun and should be fun to shoot with those. Chris
P.S. If you look at the previous post in this topic you'll see my Python with Ebony, gotta love those grips!

Very Cool

Very nice looking grips. Isn't it fun to have a gun get that little personal touch that puts your brand on it? That is one fine looking USFA. I wish I could afford a pair of them! For now I'll just keep plugging away with my old Vaquero 45's.

Stocks

I do like the USFA version of the SAA, but I have always found their stocks to be the least attractive aspect of their guns. The ebony looks right at home there, and from what I can see, it seems they fit remarkably well. Did you have to send in the gun, or did he make them up cold?

New ebony

I had to send in the gun, but Joe makes it easy. I just sent it in UPS, and he sent it back direct by UPS. Total time: about 5 weeks. The problem is, the more guns, the less time to shoot. Must be some physics law.
