I picked up another Model 10

I found another Model 10 since I needed a warm weather carry gun. I snagged this little 10-5. It had a set of Pachmayr's on it but I put these old wooden grips on it.

NICE MODEL 10

LOOKS LIKE YOU FOUND A BEAUTY! THEY ARE A LITTLE MORE COMFORTABLE TO SHOOT THAN THE J FRAME AND CONCEAL WELL.

Nice gun, I really like the S&W model 10. A load I really like it the Buffalo Bore non +P 158gr lead SWC HP. Buffalo Bore says it's going 850fps, I've chronographed it at 876fps from a 2"bbl. It shoots well too. Kind of like the old FBI load. That's what I carry in a .38 Special.

I think I'd prefer the pac's

Wood looks better, rubber feels better to me

I love the look of wood, but all my DA's have Hogue or Pachmyers on them. I wish my hand was shaped different but I just shoot better with rubber grips. Hogue has some pretty wood finger groove models, but I am afraid to spend $80 on stocks to find out I don't like them.
