"No Second Place Winner" by Bill Jordan. Brand new hardcover, still in the wrapper, donated by Chris. I guess in the spirit of the title, ther will be no second place book this month!
Thanks, Chris!
Have you checked to see if there is print on the pages? Chris has been a good friend but lately he has been a little out of sorts.I don't want or intend to discredit his credability but you know just sayin.
That was rude of me.That was a very generous donation.I havn't been the same since you sent me searching for Al. And that comment on how my Wranglers made my...never mind.I gotta go take lights down.
It's brand new, in the wrapper, silly! And your rudeness is always overlooked cause you're too much fun to send off looking for Al. Chris
put me in. Bill Jordan was a fine gentleman, one that rode the river, and came up dry on many occasions. He was not as blood thirsty as Askins, but was the fastest man in the world with a double action revolver. Saw him in person, his draw was so fast, it looked like a camera trick. And so accurate, I saw him shoot a aspirin tablet at 5 yards, hip shot, quick draw. And he never missed.
He and Skeeter are missed by me at least. Via Con Dios, my friends
Jbenson was Janurary's winner. This month will be Encyclopedia of Western Gunfighters by O'Neal
Put me in again. Looks like a good book. Still reading Triggernometry. What a good read. That and Elmer. With W.D.M.Bell thrown in for good measure. All taken with a double of Jagermeister.
Jager??? Not a fine french wine? I at least had you pegged for something...oh...AMERICAN! Be careful, you know where excessive consumption can lead!
Al, I have read the book I won last year twice. I would like to offer it up for another months book. I really enjoyed it and learned of stuff that took place in Washington. I can keep it here and ship to the new winner when the time comes. Thanks again, Don
Bout time DON, I knew I could make a good, kind, caring and generous person out of you. It feels so good to share with others, doesn't it? Your Old Pal Chris
