A little old, a little new:
Early 60's 4-5/8 Blackhawk convertable, 45 Colt / 45 ACP.
This falls along the lines of the PPP, close as I have anyway!
Easy to pack all day on hunting excursions, or a rural carry gun.
A case full of H110, about 24 grains or so, topped with a Hornady 260 XTP Mag on top. For the holster a custom Blade-tech drop was my choice, very good retention and quick release.

Nice Ruger

Very nice gun, does anybody ever give you any static over the rubber grips, I caught Hell when I had the rubber ones on my Blackhawk, felt so bad I bought those fake stag ones just for show. .45 Colt is my favorite, only wish I had a ACP cylinder for my NF Colt. Maybe someday. Chris

Plastic holster, rubber

Plastic holster, rubber grip...
This is a working gun.
When torching off a full blow load, the pachmeyers are pretty nice, and you have to admit, the whole rig looks like it grew that way....

Yes, it looks great, and the grips do look as if they compliment the gun. I agree that those grips really can help with recoil. Another question: what did you shoot at the annual shooting match, gun and caliber? Did you try the long range targets? Just curious. CHRIS

Yeah, it's right below just asks about the shoot and such, been a weird night ,wrote it this am at 4, way to early to be up but it's the only way to see a beautiful sunrise in the U. P. and I surely enjoy them thank God. I have to think of some more guns or topics, I don't know wherer to post pics of my gold cup it's an auto, Elmer once said something to the effect that as far as auto pistols went the 1911 was at least the right caliber! Later..... CHRIS
