Been shooting a KIRST .45Colt conversion cylinder in my r.o.a. for several years.... w231 and of late 6grains of TiteGroup behind a 255rnfp home cast .
(I scored a 4 pound jug of titegroup) from local CABELAS...
cylinder I chose was stainless as I on rare occasion shoot b.p. in the 45 cases.
Again money well spent.
as a side note,the roa in .45 shoots as well as my omsbh shooting .44 specials.

Hello, W. C.
Welcome to the forum
How are you loading the BP rounds?
roa= Ruger Old Army?
omsbh= Old Model (3 screw) Super Blackhawk?
Greetings AL, Thank you for the welcome,but I have been around for a couple years.......
yes, ROA is RUGER OLD ARMY
OMSBH is OLD MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK.
I shoot 35 grains Goex 3F,topped with a home cast/wheel weights/ .45 cal. LEE 255+ Round Nose Flat Point projectile.sized to .453''
smokey and feels pretty stout..as accurate as .44 specials in the SBH.
smokeless in .45,i am using 6.0-6.3 gr. titeGroup....
I just traded the omsbh to my shooting partner for a like new Winchester 88 in rare .284 Winchester.
I acquired the omsbh that had a cyl. of full house norma 44mag thru it and mabe a dozen 44 specials. ser# 4120. had it several years.... wanted that model 88 for about 12 years.... friend finally agreed to trade.....heck,i still shoot the .44 AND have a new rifle too......life is good.
