High everyone, I just logged in for the first time. I am looking for some info.
I have a 2nd generation Colt SA.  It was produced in 1958 and I bought it when I was 18 years old . I still have it and is in pristine condition.
From 1956 to the mid 1970's  there  were 350,000 2nd generation SA's produced mostly in 44's , 45's, and 357's But out of the 350,000,   500 were 38 specials, I am trying to find out how many 38 specials in nickle plating and with the 4  3/4 inch barrel were produced in 1958 when mine was.  I know it is pretty rare in that caliber.  Can anyone help me out here??

1860 Army Richards Conversion

Hi,  I'm looking for some assistance regarding an 1860 Army Richards Conversion.  The serial numbers are as follows: 188784  barrel (mfg.1870), 191554
frame (mfg. 1871), 554 wedge, 1554     cylinder, 191554 trigger guard, and 191554 backstrap.  It appears that the conversion barrel was replaced with a standard 1860 Army barrel, unless some were sold without the conversion.  Also, there is no patent date, just "Colt's Patent" on the left side of the frame.  I don't see any engraving on the cylinder, either.  Colt said they have no information on conversion models.  Any information or comments you could provide would be appreciated!  If I can figure out how to insert some images, I'll add a few photos.  Thanks
