Thought I would share my work of late. I tore my Colt New Frontier 45 apart and smoothed everything up and put it back together. Put my old walnut grips one just for a change of pace and thought it would shoot a bit better. So to date it has a new rear ellaison sight, smoothing job and old walnut grips. It's too much fun working on guns so now I will load some new ammo up to try it out. Chris

Great idea!

Chris was the inspiration behind my own foray into taking apart my Model 29-10 Smith-Wesson.
Here are some pics. It is plain I am guilty of nelecting this weapon. Spent too much time repeatedly breaking down my auto's and letting my only wheel gun waste away...
Only thing I have yet to do is figure out how to remove the frame mounted firing pin assembly, and tear down that ridiculous action lock. But, I have enough cleaning to do meanwhile. Here are some pics...

Bird's eye view. It didn't occur to me to take a picture before disassembly. If I get it back together, I'll update...

Hope you all have a fine, safe New Year!

Success!

My first time disassembling a Smith DA/SA wheel gun. The most difficult part was getting the sideplate seated again.
