I put new Truglo sights on my Marlin 357 and on my Henry 44.  I purchased these from a fella on ebay.  Who modified the set for my Marlin.  They had to be cut to fit the shorter carbine rifle.  I'm pretty happy with them.  I used the ghost rings but they came with standard two dot rears as well.

Sights

Good looking work. I've always been partial to buckhorns mounted forward like that on a carbine but the ring looks like it gives plenty of sight picture. What did you have to cut?

The front part had to be cut

The front part had to be cut short due to the barrel band and the rear sight had to have a new screw hole put in to line up properly.   It provides an excellent sight picture

Henry 44

How does that Henry shoot? Any targets to show. I always wondered how accurate they are and now they are marketing a 45-70 I think. Chris S

It shoots great.   Even with

It shoots great.   Even with heavy loads the recoil is non existant.   Will have some new targets shortly.  Once I sight it in again

Way 2 Bright

Speaking only for myself, I gave up on fiber optic sights years ago because I found even the green was bright to the point of irritation.
Sights should, in my opinion, be visible, but not obtrusive. An extremely bright sight tends to wash everything out-at least for my eyes. My favourite sights for leverguns are the A-O sights, now I think they are called the X-S sight company, but the product is the same.
Yes, I realize I sound like an old sour curmudgeon, writing this, but after all, I am an old an unrepentant levergunner, and when I die I hope they bury me with my Winchester94 30-30.
