Couldn't help but admire the finish on your bertie. The last time I shot one was more's 10 years ago now-with genuine black powder .45 Colt loads. She bucked and roared and put a smile on my face.
Just as an aside, I've gotten to the point where I hardly ever shoot at any kind of"official" type of target any longer. These days, I'm fond of blasting any kind of plastic container that holds water. Something about causing it to fly into the air gushing spray I suppose.

Me too, I miss shooting at the fun stuff but unfortunately I moved and can only shoot at a range. They don't allow the fun stuff. I miss the good ole days of shooting from my garage.

Just sos you know, air guns are becoming more popular, because urbanites have discovered that they can shoot in places where objections to firearms are way more numerous than affirmations.
I'll be the first to admit that CO2 and air won't fulfill the complete shooting experience, but it can still be fun. I once visited a friend who lived in the inner city, and we rang the little steel plate at the back of his yard well into the dark.
On the other hand, having access to a range can have it's own advantages...
