Hi! I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of this critter in it's 4 5/8" incarnation. I'm excited! I've had other Bisleys in .22, .357 magnum, .45 and .44 magnum but I've never owed a .44 Special of any kind. Anyone acquired one of these? Do you like it? Is it a shooter? Thanks, Dennis

I have one of the Lipsey 44

I have one of the Lipsey 44 Specials.Mine is not a Bisley. The accuracy is great, I could not ask for more.It likes 240 gr.swc`s and Unique.I bought it just when I was going to do a conversion on a 357.I got an excellent shooter and saved a bunch of money to boot.I think you will really like the 44 Special.-----------------Harley

Nice

Hi Harley: Very nice choice, I really like my Super Blackhawk in 44 Magnum and shoot quite a lot of 44 special through it.Got any pictures? Chris

I've had my non-bisley

I've had my non-bisley 4 5/8" Flattop Special for over a year now. Shoots like a dream and still lovein' it every time I shoot it. This is as close to a custom gun as I'm going to get in the foreseeable future. It is a pleasure to carry both on foot and in the saddle. I use a cordura flap holster from Idaho Leather.

It really shoots a 200 gr RNFP on top of W231 well and it's a pleasant load to boot. Another one it likes is a 180 gr JHP over Unique. Those two loads are VERY accurate in mine and shoot to the same POI.

I will try to take a deer with it during our firearm season.

Let us know how that Bisley shoots when you get it.

Wow! I've been out of town

Wow! I've been out of town but I got back and took my new Lipsey .44 special Ruger Bisley 4 5/8" Flattop out to the range this morning and fire off 50 rounds of 200 gr. JHPs. What a neat single action! Totally reliable of course but awesomely accurate too. Combined with great fit and finish what's not to love!

I've scrounged up 500 rounds of ammo for it and will start reloading as soon as I've accumulated enough spent brass. I believe that the .44 special could quickly become my favorite fun round to shoot. Had a number of .44 magnum handguns and rifles but this is my first .44 special and the first time I've shot .44 special ammo. I like it! I'm excited! I'm going to the range again tomorrow. Did I mention that I love the Bisley grip? Dennis
