Often overlooked aspect of firearms care is whether you have some kind of insurance in case of loss, theft or damage. I made a quick phone call to my agent and found I could cover firearms and accessories on my homeowners policy for an inexpensive rider that suits my needs. If you haven't thought about insurance now may be a good time to take note of what you have and if insurance would be worthwhile. Chris

I have State Farm homeowners. They will cover up to $5,000. The NRA membership automatically gives $1,000. In addition, I get the NRA Endorsed Insurance to top it all off. For individual guns worth over a certain amount, they have to be listed separately with a value. Best to have a list with descriptions and serial numbers, also. A good piece of free software for that is Pointblank.
