Uberti's "Buckhorn" Single Action Army
Submitted by SavvyJack on Sat, 08/18/2018 - 13:34It has been a while since I posted in here. I just made another trip to the range today to shoot the ole Six Shooter. I only shot at 4 yards but it was fun. I made some videos, nothing spectacular but the old Six did it's job. I used several different bullets and powders but at 7 yards, they all hit the spot.

Gallager conversion
Submitted by rgswaim on Thu, 06/14/2018 - 08:39A few years ago I had a 6 inch old model 357 Ruger Blackhawk converted, by Gallager, to a 4 5/8 inch 44 Special. I am considering selling the piece but have no idea what price I should ask. Any suggestion? BTW - I apologize if this is the wrong forum for this post.

S&W Mountain GUN 44 Mag
Submitted by hickman629 on Tue, 03/06/2018 - 08:10Hi
I have had a 629-5 Mountain Gun in 44 Mag for a long time. I got it as a gift for completing Graduate School. I know the barrel is different than others but what other changes did S&W make to these? It is a great packing gun that is for sure.

Original Marketing Name from S&W
Submitted by jlitz on Fri, 07/07/2017 - 00:33Hello,
I have a hardback copy of Single Action Sixguns and I have done other research but I am left with a question I need answered if anyone has the historical material to answer it.
What was the original name for S&W's Model 3 American? Did they even call it the Model 3 at the time? I am doubting they originally called it the American either because that distinction would only be necessary once they produced the Russian.

50th anniversary Ruger Flattop 44 Mag
It spent some time in Tennessee hanging around Hamilton Bowen's shop getting action work and sights, looks like they turned the barrel in a bit and set the gap because now the warning label is on the bottom and under the ejector. Of course a Bowen fitted Belt Mountain Base Pin as well.
