Howdy folks,
I wasn't sure which thread to introduce myself in so I just decided "What the heck? I'll start my own.

Last of the plastic pistols.

Hey fellers, Name here is Jeff and I'm new here. I'll make this my first post so here goes. I traded off the last of my plastic pistols today, a Ruger SR9c, being a fine pistol, autos are not my thing. Traded a gentleman the Ruger and a TOPS knife for a real nice Super Blackhawk in 44 mag. 1980's manufacture, and here's the kicker, it has a Leupold m8 2x eer scope mounted on it. Needless to say I'm a happy camper with my modest collection of sixguns.
Have a good'n
Jeff

Bread and Butter Guns

We all have those really nice revolvers, the safe queens. But what are your bread and butter guns? You know, "shooters". Guns that maybe the finish isn't the nicest, but they get the job done.

Here is my late '40's vintage Smith M & P .38 Special. The grips don't number to the gun, and right now it actually has a set of those Pachmayr Bill Jordan grips which fit really well. I am going to get a set of wooden ones sometime now that I know I like the way they fit.

Favorite Sixgun

I would think that this Smith 27-2 has to be my favorite sixgun. Right now its wearing a set of elk stag grips from Grashorn Gunworks. Photobucket

Mag Research/ Shorty .44

Hello All!

Guess you could say I have been re-born.

For years I have wandered the barren wasteland of faceless plastic pistols.

My only bright spot has been looking at the shiny pictures in the gun magazines.

All the while I have been a spectator.

Then I got a hold of the February issue of "GUNS" magazine and everything went sort of weird and fuzzy when I opened it up to page 36.

Colt New Frontier Re-Introduced?

Read that Colt was showing some New Frontiers at the SHOT show. Anybody have any info on this? Chris

32 Mag power for self defense

I have a Single Six in .32 magnum. Single action discussions aside, how is the caliber for self defense. Does it compare to the .380?

My Favorite!

The big SBH is good and it's a .44 so that's a plus, but my favorite is the neat Colt New Frontier .45 Colt, it fits my hand just right. Chris
