Two 475 revolvers
Submitted by Jamesfromjersey on Mon, 11/07/2011 - 20:13Need Advice
Submitted by Rifleman harris on Sat, 10/29/2011 - 15:15I've been reading this forum for a long time but have never had anything worthwhile to contribute. I need some advice on what to do with a revolver.
About a year ago I decided to buy a SAA and couldn't choose between USFA and Colt so I compromised and got both. The USFA was fine out of the box, not so with the Colt. I took it up to Alex Hamilton in San Antonio and he corrected most of the problems but the cylinders are .457 and a normal sized bullet just falls through the cylinders without touching. Accuracy isn't as bad as I expected but it isn't good.
Long barreled Vaquero
Submitted by David LaPell on Wed, 10/26/2011 - 18:39I finally got out my Ruger Vaquero last week, with some factory 250 grain LRN's from Winchester. I never had to touch the sight at all to get it to line up, shot at 20 yards from a bench one handed.
Model 27 on the range
Submitted by David LaPell on Wed, 10/26/2011 - 18:34I decided to give my Model 27-2 a decent test with some of my handloads, some 162 grain swc's with 13.0 grains of 2400 at 20 yards one handed from a bench.
.38-44 range test
Submitted by David LaPell on Wed, 10/26/2011 - 18:30Ever since I hurt my left arm late last year I have pretty much relegated to shooting one handed with everything. This is no exception with my .38-44 Outdoorsman. I took it out the other day and shot some of my handloads, the old 170 grain #358429 SWC with 12.5 grains of 2400. I shot it from the bench at 20 yards one handed.
Big Bore Snubbies
Submitted by Mak on Thu, 10/20/2011 - 13:06Could not help but notice that the small wheelgun offerings are getting decidedly more interesting. Specifically, we have two new .40 S&W snub nose 5 guns hitting the market. The first is the Charter Arms, with an innovative extractor design. Go to Gunblast and read Mr. Quinn's review. The second is from Taurus, which uses traditional moon clips.
Colt SAA 44-40
Submitted by greyman on Sun, 10/09/2011 - 06:39Ordering new production Custom Shop Black Powder Frame 44-40 with 4 3/4 barrel. I know it will have bird's eye ejector. Should I request any specific lettering, etc.?
I want it to look like old Black Powder SAA, but I do not have funds to actually duplicate the old models. If I did, I would own the real thing! Need some help!
Old Colts
Submitted by Chris3755 on Wed, 09/21/2011 - 11:32I usually don't plug another website but this is a great place to see these old Colts. Hope you enjoy those oldguns. Chris

Triggers
Submitted by Mak on Tue, 09/20/2011 - 16:50These days it seems all the gunwriters, with the possible exception of Mr. Taffin, rave about extremely light trigger pulls. The reason I give Mr. Taffin an out here is because I read and enjoyed his review of the New Agent DA from Colt, and he stated that the trigger was heavy, but good, if I recall correctly.
Ruger Bisley SS 41 magnum
Submitted by DennisE on Wed, 09/07/2011 - 08:50I've had sixguns in 45, 44 mag, 44 special, 357 magnum and 22 LR, but I never had one in 41 magnum. Well now I'm going to! Just bought a 41 magnum 5.5" SS Bisley off gunbroker. Pretty excited waiting for it. Anyone else shoot 41 magnum? Thanks, Dennis
