Sixguns

Anything sixgun related

Single Action (especially Ruger .44 special folks) A bit of a puzzle.

I haven't been posting because I am busy this summer and using spare time to try and develop some worthwhile loads and info for a number of wheel guns, but I've encountered something that has me stopped in my tracks.
Let me say at the outset here I am working with a number of guns from .357  (about 5 of them) to .44 mag and Special (about five pistols and one rifle) This isn't my first ti,e out of the chute here but I am stumped.

Uberti .44

I am putting this question out because I believe there are quite a few Uberti fans who peruse here. Does anyone have any experience with, knowledge of, or useful information concerning the Uberti Callahan? It seems to me that they are naming this SAA in .44 mag. after Mr. Eastwoods Dirty Harry character. Some years ago a working hand from up in Wyo. claimed to have one, and if I recall correctly, he was a little unhappy with the gun's penchant for piercing primers.

Holster and Belt for Colt SAA 5 1/2" Revolver

I plan to purchase a belt and holster for my Colt SAA. I prefer the "loop" styles prevalent in the 1880's and 1890's as
opposed to the newer fast draw, competition rigs.  I would appreciate any recommendations/experiences with brands,
holsters, belts, and belt loop arrangements. I am not involved in cowboy action shooting, but I love to shoot (reload).
Quality and workmanship as well as functionality are important to me. I am not in situation where I can examine
different products.

Colt & USFA

Like most folks here, I have had more than a passing interest in the Colt & USFA debate. USFA is an interesting company, starting out with assembling Uberti replica parts. I guess I find this interesting because all our politicians and business leaders think its great to have a country that doesn't make-or assemble anything. They sure were bucking the trend there.

An old cop gun

I picked up this little gem, it used to be a Troy, NY police department gun. It has been refinished, but the gun was cheap enough and the action is very nice. Can't wait to shoot it.

Sixguns and others

Good Morning ,
Who has seen the price of Keiths long out of print books lately?
My goodness $195 for second print of "Sixguns" $248 or something for first ...................
I am glad I have what i have allready but this will sure make finishing my collection hard.

I remember when I started reading Keith, "Hell I was There" on the recomendation from a sixgunner member I headed to the library and was hooked before checking it out.  I do love books about guns!

Hello to all my old pals

I haven't been on a gun forum for a few years now; never really found a new home after sixgunner went away.  I have internet access again now in my home (new) and have looked around a little here.  It seems as though this place is kind of quite and cozy.  I hope I can call it home like I did the sixgunner forum.

Been a while

   Hey fellas,

The family grew again

I've been busy casting bullets from my Lyman Ideal 429 421 and the RCBS 250 K to feed the .44s around the house. I have been using up a store bought supply of 220 swcs for my .41s.
the other day the wife comes back from town and says,
"It Followed me home. Can we keep it?"

New five shooter

I just picked up a spanking new S&W model 60 with the three inch barrel and adjustable sights as a replacement for a nickel three inch Model 36 ( which is now living in Mrs Cowdog's   sewing drawer)  Fit like a glove in my Simply Rugged holster and she is my new everyday both farm and town carry gun.
