Trying to choose a SA sixgun

I'm looking at Rugers and I want all of them.  Unfortunately, I can only get one at a time.  I'm certain that members here won't hesitate to assist me with their opinions and insight, so here I am.

I want a sixgun that I can hunt with.  I would especially like to try hog hunting.  That being said, I am looking at Ruger single actions.  I already have a GP 100, but I want to go with a big bore weapon.

Have you ever hit "A wall"?

Wonderful Sixgun

I got this off another forum so forgive me for my borrowing! This was just too good not to share. As noted on the other site the cylinder is definitely not fluted, must have been a misprint, but it is a hellova gun! Wonder who has it? Chris

Hello and a question

Hello everyone.  I am new here.  I'm a jazz musician who loves shooting and especially six guns.  I own six my self and am comtemplating buying another one.  That is part of my starting this thread.  Does anyone know much about Gary Reeder conversions of Ruger revolvers?

Ruger BH Flattop Stainless .44 Special!

I went to a gun show last weekend, and the first table inside the door was lined up with Rugers, mostly single action.  Now I already have a stainless 5 1/2" SBH in .44, a 4 5/8" blue .357 and a stainless 5 1/2" single six.  I was looking at the new single ten and I liked the fiber optic sights because my eyes don't adjust as well as they used to.  Then I saw what I consider the holy grail of ruger single actions, the stainless 4 5/8" .44 special flattop, and it found a home right away.

Idaho Leather/Goerg Holster

I didn't notice a "Leather" Index so I hope this will get to whomever knows!
I would like to buy one of the "Improved" Al Goerg shoulder holsters from Idaho Leather. They seem to have disappeared. Anybody know anything about them?
Has anybody had experience with Gary Reeder's "Goerg" shoulder holsters.

The durned .44 cal did it to me again

I was at my local gun shop with the intention of ordering a special self-shucking,bottom-feeder, and this lonely waif called to me from the case.

.44 Chamber Mouth Diameters

Going on advice that the diameters of chamber mouths are important in selecting bullet diameters for reloading,  I measured four of my handguns with a set of pin gauges, as follows:

S&W M21 .44 Spl (Modern)  =  0.4295
S&W M629-3  =  0.4310
S&W 29-2  = 0.4310
Ruger Lipsey .44 Spl  =  0.4305

Five Favorite Sixguns, Owned or Not

As a forum newbie,  I'm gonna try a "new" topic. I suspect it may have been done so many times here already that I will be encouraged to walk the plank. But here goes: what are your favorite five sixguns, whether you own them now or not?
I guess mine would be:
