Anything sixgun related

.22WMR

Just about everybody is familiar with various forms of the 22 rimfire cartridge, and here I wish to discuss the 22  Winchester Magnum Rimfire. For those who have used and enjoyed this cartridge in a sixgun, which load have you found especially accurate and useful, and why?
Do you prefer lighter bullets to get the max velocity out of the short sixgun barrel? What have you used your rimfire sixgun on? Snakes? Jacks? Targets?
What are your thoughts?

Anyhow, I want to hear what folks have to say.

My first SA Sixgun - Ruger Vaquero

Well, this is my first post here.  Been on levergunscommunity.com for a while now.  I have been looking over sixguns.com for a while now and am enjoying all the information.  I just got back from the gunshop a while ago to pick up my first SA sixgun.  Its a Ruger Vaquero Sheriff's model in 44 Special.  Check it out.

Simply Rugged Leather, a .44 Spl and a .38 Spl

DSC01686
I got some new leather, really like it and thought I'd show off a little. Here's my flat top .44 Spl with a Simply Rugged floral carved Sourdough.

Please forgive me if this has been 'done to death'....

...but a guy at work has a Uberti SAA clone and I'm wondering who makes good, affordable SAA clones?

.44 Special choices

Looking to buy a new .44 special.
I have heard good things about the Colt New Frontier and have read Mr Taffin's article.
Also heard good reports on USFA.
Even considering a custom one by Gary Reeder

The .357 Magnum

I guess its inevitable.
In a world where the .454 Casull is middle of the road for handgun power, the 357 is viewed sideways, as a once useful oldster that is best suited for bedtime stories and retirement.

Cimmaron Richards '51 conversion

I have opportunity to make an offer to buy a second hand Cimmaron 1851 Navy Richards (Mason?) .38 Sp. conversion revolver.
I have already got a woking relationship with the seller since I am purchasing a Coyote Cap spec' ed '97 Winchester clone , so it's not as if I have a trust issue.
It might have been here at this forum where I discovered an inherent problem with the original conversions where the frame would eventually crack between the bolt screw well & the lower corner of the frame close to the hammer pivot.

Need help to identify 38CAL on my Colt SA

Hey guys. Last week I bought a very nice looking Colt SA. Its a 7 and 1/2 inch berral in like new condition. Fantastic case hardening with the hammer also case hardened. I believe its a black powder frame as it has the screw type and not the spring load push pin for taking down the cylinder. Across the top of the barrel it reads Colt`s PTF.A.MFG.Co. Hartford CT and on the side of the frame it has the usual Pat Sept. 19, 1871 July 2, 72 and Jan 19,75. It has super nice one piece wood grips.

Using what I have

Recent events may dictate that I'll have to use what I have for a while.  I hear mixed opinions on the efficacy of the .357 as a hunting caliber.
Any confident .357 hunters out there?

three screw super blackhawk

 Hello.
This is my first entry in this forum.  And I have to start with a question.
November last year I aqquired my first sigle action Ruger, the Super Blackhawk, square triggerguard, 44 mag ( of course ) without any warnings on the barrel. I happend to read somewhere that this is a collector item. True or false ?
I would like to shorten the barrel to 5 1/2  inch and add a partrige fron sight but maybe this is a mistake. I am greateful for any sound advice.
